Biography

Diversity and Inclusion Specialist  

Julie Robertson is a seasoned executive leader with over 20 years of experience in driving transformational change, particularly within the nonprofit sector. Passionate about strategy and innovation, she excels in developing solutions to social challenges through startups, business growth, and guiding organisations through phases of testing and maturation. Julie’s work is grounded in creating system-wide change that enhances the quality of life for people with disabilities, including neurodivergent individuals.

Julie currently serves as the Chief Growth Officer at The Housing Hub, a social enterprise dedicated to disability-specific housing solutions. In this role, she spearheads initiatives to grow and expand people with disabilities housing and living options. Alongside her position at The Housing Hub, Julie continues her consulting work, providing strategic guidance in areas such as leadership, change management, and social impact initiatives. Additionally, she volunteers with Tech Diversity and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team at ADHD Australia, where she focuses on enhancing employment outcomes for adults with ADHD.

Julie’s leadership experience includes previous roles as CEO of Specialisterne Australia and senior/executive positions within organisations such as Summer Foundation, Brotherhood of St Laurence – NDIS, Goodstart Early Learning and Amaze.

As a person with ADHD, Julie is passionate about creating inclusive environments that celebrate neurodiversity and value all individuals’ strengths.

 

Building inclusive workplaces; enhancing recruitment and workplace practices

Julie will explore strategies for building inclusive workplaces. Focusing on enhancing recruitment and workplace practices to better support those living with ADHD.

In addition, Julie alongside a diverse panel will discuss overcoming workplace challenges to succeed, leverging key insights from ADHD professionals and entrepreneurs.
