ADHD NZ Tracey Rountree on Everyday with ADHD
Tena koutou, I'm Tracy Rountree, ADHD coach and training facilitator. Has your child been diagnosed or do you suspect they have ADHD? Are you struggling to understand their behavior? Some common issues that parents discuss with me are: How to help regulate their child's emotions and outbursts Deciding on medication options for their child finding consequences that work, dealing with sibling conflicts and the challenges of the school environment. So if these sound familiar, then the Everyday with ADHD parent course will assist you and your family. This course has been specifically designed to help parents and whanau of children with ADHD, learning difficulties, and other challenging behaviors that these complex needs bring.
At the end of the course parents will have a deeper understanding of ADHD and how it affects their child. Recognize the positive aspects of ADHD because they do have positive aspects and be able to then build a more positive relationship with their child. So also better support their child's learning and overall make family life easier with practical strategies that use research based tools and resources. One of the biggest benefits of this course is actually meeting parents who are facing similar challenges. You are not alone, even though sometimes it can feel like it. As the course facilitator, I completely understand and can relate to the struggles parents face, as I have children with ADHD and ASD and I myself was diagnosed.
With ADHD as an adult. So if you'd like to find out more about the Everyday with ADHD parent course, check out ADHD New Zealand's website for information and dates. Courses are available online or face to face in Auckland. So I hope to see you soon. Thanks.
